Aspose.BarCode for Reporting Services is a custom report item control that is used to display barcode labels on MS SQL Server Reporting Services reports with greater efficiency. The layout of barcode labels can be altered very easily according to the project needs, with fully-integrated visual barcode designer for Visual Studio. Developers can also preview and adjust the barcode images at design-time.
Moreover, developer can customize different settings to make appearance of barcode labels more beautiful in accordance with the design of their reports. These settings can be configured by Barcode Settings dialog box, which can be accessed by right clicking on the barcode image (that was dragged from the toolbox). The design time settings supported by Aspose.BarCode for Reporting Services are as under:
- 25+ Linear and 2D Barcode Symbologies: Developers can select any of the 25+ barcode symbologies (including Linear and 2D) according to their requirements and respective barcode labels will be generated quickly.
- Image Formats: Developers can choose to render barcode images on reports in Bmp, Jpg, Png or Gif format.
- Barcode Size and Location Settings: The location and height of the barcode image can be adjusted by setting the values of XDimension, YDimension and BarHeight properties.
- Resolution Settings: The quality of the barcode image can be altered by changing the DPIX and DPIY properties.
- CodeText Appearance Settings: The appearance of Text, which appears as part of barcode image, can be altered by setting its Font, Size, Color and Alignment buttons .
- Rotation Angle of Barcode: Barcode image can be displayed in any direction by setting its Rotation Angle.
- Design-time Preview: After making all changes to the settings of barcode image, developers can have its preview in a small preview window. It helps to check the effect of changes prior to applying them actually.
