Aspose.Words for Reporting Services is a rendering extension for Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008 Reporting Services and Microsoft Report Viewer. Aspose.Words for Reporting Services allows you to export your RDL and RDLC reports in following formats:

1. DOC (Microsoft Word)
2. DOCX (Office Open XML)
3. RTF (Rich Text Format)
4. XML (WordprocessingML)
5. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)
6. MHTML (Web Archive MIME HTML)
7. TXT (Plain Text)

In this demo, we utilize the AdventureWorks 2008 sample reports to demonstrate the capabilities of Aspose.Words for Reporting Services. The AdventureWorks 2008 sample reports are a set of predefined report definition files that use the AdventureWorks 2008 databases as data sources. You can select any one of the eight reports to view and export them using Aspose.Words for Reporting Services to one of the seven supported file formats.

How to run demo?

1. Go to http://apps.aspose.com/ssrs-rendering-extensions/pages/folder.aspx
2. Click AdventureWorks 2008 Sample Reports link.
3. Click on any desired report (For example, Company Sales 2008 etc.).
4. After the report is generated and shown in browser, select any output format supported by Aspose.Words and click Export link.

You can see that Aspose.Words for Reporting Services fully supports all of the RDL specification and exports reports as Microsoft Word documents in such a way that they appear identical to reports produced by Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services’ built-in renderers.
