Please forward us some more information about the issue. like what is the time difference, what is the software & hardware you are using e.t.c. Also, please forward us the sample MS Excel file which you are using.

can't share sample excel bcoz of confidentiality

You can pick up any excel file (2003 format) with 50K rows. Save it in xlsx format.

If you try to open the xlsx file it takes three or four times it takes usually for 2003 format

Thanks for providing more details.

We will perform such test as mentioned by you and share the findings. However, opening of the Office Open XML (SpreadsheetML, XLSX) files will definitely take more time than those of simple XLS files due to its complex format. We will try to improve the processing of XLSX files to our best.
