    Desktop Grid - Memory Issue

    Hi

    I am using 2.0.1.14 (licensed version). I have about 55,000 rows and 20 columns in my grid. Grid.cell class is taking 141 MB and a Hashtable is taking about 84 MB of memory (Please see attached file for more info). This has become a huge issue for my application. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Also kindly suggest me if disabling some property can help for short term. Kindly revert back as soon as possible.

    Hi Amjad

    I was going through various memory related posts. I noticed one point:

    You may populate data first by row then by colum, it will also improve the performance. For example, put data in sequence of A1, B1, A2, B2 will be faster than A1, A2, B1, B2. If there are many cells in a worksheet, this tip can make the program much faster and save memory.


    Would it help me in desktop version? And can you please give me a live example of that, I could not get how can we populate it row by row and then column by column. Also, can you please update me if you are done with your findings about my issue?

    Hi,

    Please try the attached version Aspose.Grid.Desktop v2.0.1.15. We have optimized the memory usage, it decreases about 25% now.

    Memory usage by desktop grid still needs to be improved. Kindly look into this.
