    On the following link: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/file-format-components/aspose.pdf-for-.net-and-java/word-to-pdf.html there is a section called file Format Components >>  Aspose.Pdf for .NET and Java >> Knowledge Base >> Known Issues >> word to Pdf  which specifies word to Pdf is not supported.

    Is it the case that in any Java version (Aspose.Pdf or Aspose.Total) that word cannot be converted to a Pdf file format?

    Is there any conversion capabilites from word to pdf in Aspose.word?

    Hello Kevin,

    Thanks for considering Aspose.

    You can convert the word document to Pdf using either of the two methods.

    1 -  Use Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf, where Aspose.Words transforms the input word file into intermediate XML file, which is used by Aspose.Pdf to generate the Pdf file.

    2 - In Recent version of Aspose.Words, a new feature of saving the Word file into Pdf format is introduced.

    Both of these methods are supported in .Net version, and I am sorry to inform you that, this feature is not supported in Java version. The conversion feature is irrespective of the License mechanism.
