We are currently evaluating packages, and are very interested in Aspose as a solution due to the functionality it offers......We are looking at performance issues from a worst case scenario, where we might need 1500 records merged into a complex multi page document, and also looking to the future when record numbers will increase, and templates get more complicated.......The performance improvements in the new release are absolutely staggering! ......We are all thoroughly impressed here........We implemented the new document.clone feature and straight away throughput was 10 times faster (and quicker than the competition you will be glad to know). We are now in a position to demonstrate document production to the business this Thursday, will let you know the outcome.Fantastic work you guys! ......The end to end test demo has run like a dream, the real demo is this afternoon. We are confident now, Aspose.Words performance exceeds it competitor package we were trailing, and it's functionality is far better. Check the live replies...

Maybe it's better if the component would just ignore the TOC codes, and pass these blocks unmodified on to the final resulting document? This way, I don't have to explain to my customers why they can't have a TOC in their documents. ........You guys are fast. I like the facilities this word component provides now. As soon as I can do a TOC and basic Header Styles to build it, it's a sale.......I tested the new styles property. and it works like a charm Now I can fully comply with my clients wishes. And do it faster and easier than any other method for making Word files. If my project proposal is agreed upon, we will choose your components. Check the live replies...

I have to say, when I first purchased this package I was very nervous by the lack of documentation (not that there isn’t any, but in comparison to other tools I’ve bought it was less) but the support (which has basically been you) has just been exceptional and it’s greatly appreciated. Thank you. I created a solution using your online documentation and did not realize there were complete solutions already available for experimentation.  You might want to include a note at the root of your documentation page for each namespace reminding/informing a potential/existing customer of your pre-built solution. Thanks to Ben and Roman for an outstanding product, which helped us to deliver to client a far better product than we could have done using Microsoft Word on the server.

Aspose customer support is great, it's no idle boast that they reply quickly to queries. I was impressed during the evaluation of Aspose.Words when they put in a patch on a product based on my enquiry BEFORE purchasing Aspose.Words.

We are going to be using Aspose.Pdf and more of the aspose toolset as the need arises.

I have to say I am truly satisfied with what this component can do.  The ability to conduct mail merges with server-side databases in 1/10th the time it would take to create an HTML report makes this component truly worth while.

Our customers often ask for reports in Word format so that things like margins can be controlled.  Up till now, we have always had to fake it by using RTF or send HTML to Word and have it interpret it (on the client-side).  We can now say "Yes" to a lot of questions we had to say "No" to before, and from a customer service perspective, that is truly important.

I have bought Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf and I must say both component work very well! The API are really easy to learn/understand. The night I bought the two component, I transformed my word automation into a pdf creation for an intranet.

It is way faster than using automation, more reliable, way more stable and more secure as automation is not recommended for asp.net developpement!

The support is really great, they reply fast, provide hotfix really quick if needed!

So out of 10, I'd give a 9 or 9.5 !

Wow ! What a great couple of products !

I didn’t think our requirements were that crazy: Create Word documents, Import Html into them, Merge the documents with DataSets and Pdf them.

We looked high and low at so many possible solutions it wasn’t funny. Only Aspose had the answer.

The API was so easy to use we rarely needed to refer to the documentation, and the performance is just incredible (In our test environment Aspose generated our documents in .2 of a second as apposed to Word Automation which generated them in 7seconds!)

After evaluating every word/pdf generation component in the market I can honestly say that yours is the best.

I had been using the evaluation copy of Aspose.Words during the development process for months.  When I decided to purchase the product for deployment I found BEN LI and his team eager and willing to work with me, especially with regards to pricing and licensing.  (Mine is a one-man consulting shop doing work for a government client and pricing was a critical matter.)
Needless to say, functionality and performance-wise, I am very pleased with this component.

We use three Aspose.NET components (Aspose.Words, Aspose.Cells, Aspose.Pdf) to solve the following problem:

It is needed to convert MS Word documents (.doc files) and MS Excel sheets (.xls files) to PDF format without installing of the MS Office products inside our MS.NET product.

 

We tried to use many different components but only Aspose components have satisfied us because of:

1.      Aspose components are written with .NET technology and we can use them directly from our code (By the way, they exist for different versions of .NET framework, we use .NET Framework 1.0 and now it is very difficult to find components, which work with it).

2.      These components do not use MS Office to work with MS Office files (such as .doc, .xls, .pps files)

3.      They provide very simple but powerful interfaces. We can to solve our problem with writing only several lines of code.

4.      Aspose Company proposes the possibility to buy only components, which are needed to a customer. We’ve bought only three components and did not pay for expensive unnecessary features and modules.

We were very particular that the tool retains almost all the properties of the word document including templates, hyperlinks and the format the way the word document had it....

Thanks to Aspose.Words we could finally deliver the functionality we have long been searching for. Installation and integration was a breeze. It took us two hours overall and now we produce on the fly Word and HTML documents based on users' web-database entries. Keep up the good work!

Exactly what the doctor ordered!

We purchased the Aspose.Words product a few weeks ago.  What a pleasant surprise to find a product that actually does exactly what the marketing material claims and implements as easy as advertized.

Our development team had the product installed, implemented and integrated into a customer solution with 2 hours.  We would have spent days trying to drum up our own solution and probably weeks to debug and test it.

Our experience with Aspose.Words made choosing a vendor for our other component needs a no-brainer.  After evaluating and testing the Aspose.PDF and Aspose.ASPXpand products, we recently also purchased both products.  As expected, we got the same quality product, easy implementation and support.

We are sold on Aspose products and as a result, we have started replacing a number of our in-house developed components with Aspose products.  The Aspose products are well designed and backed by solid support, which frees up a lot of our own developer time to focus on our own products.

More importantly, the Aspose product deliver pinpoint functionality to solve specific problems without burdening us with any unwanted functionality.

We recently started testing Aspose.Words and have been quite satisfied.
This product is a must for every .NET project involving MS Word etc.

One of our main requirements was dynamic image insertion into the
document header and footer based on parameters, which comes standard
as compared to the competitors.

An additional feature I would like to see is the extension of the TOC,
in which the fields are auto populated based on a specific header style
or font type.

Aspose is definitely our component of choice for present and future solutions.
Wish I knew about this earlier...
