In new release, we don't support 'exactly' row height yet, it is not easy issue,  we need more time to work on it. I will ask Hans to give you more details.

Unfortunately, this is not a very satisfactory response. We first reported this problem in March and in April were told that the fix would be available in about 2 months. On July 3, we were told that the update would be available in a few days. On July 23 we were told that it would be released at the end of the month. One month later we are told that the problem still has not been resolved and we have no estimate for when it will be corrected.

I understand that it is a complex problem, but use of 'Exact Row Height' in Word documents is not uncommon, and we have several clients who have complained to us about the problem. In each case we have repeated your assurance that the problem would be corrected, "in about two months," "in a few days," "at the end of the month," etc. Now we can give them no estimate.

Sorry for the mistake of our developers. We will try our best to avoid such problem later. Currently this issue is fixed in Aspose.Words. You can save to PDF with Aspose.Words directly without Aspose.Pdf.

Document doc = new Document("updated_GILLIS%2bELEMENTARY.doc");
doc.Save("updated_GILLIS%2bELEMENTARY.pdf",SaveFormat.Pdf);

In my test the result is correct.

Sorry for disappointing you as we have postponed the solution so many times. And we didn't offer the ETA carefully. As we were sidetracked by some emergent issues several months before. Anyhow, it is our fault to make you waiting and haven't update you with the status in time.
I have heightened your issue with top priority and it will be resolved in September. We will ask for Aspose Words team's to publish a hotfix then as we need their cooperation to complete the solution.

Thank you for your response. We are aware that we can save directly to PDF from ASPOSE.WORDS. However, we make use of the embedded fonts available with ASPOSE.PDF to generate special characters for our clients. ASPOSE.WORDS does not yet support embedded fonts, although we were told last December that it would do so (see the thread beginning with post #157235 in the ASPOSE.WORDS forum). At this point we are still dependent on a solution in ASPOSE.PDF.

Our development team is working hard to get this issue resolved, but I’m afraid, still this feature is not fully supported because it’s quite hard and time demanding feature. We still need 2 weeks time frame to get it resolved.

 

I know you already have waited quite long, but still we request you to spare us little more time. I hope you would understand the circumstances.

In my test the new version of Aspose.Words has already supported embedded font. You can try it. We will not support this feature in Aspose.Pdf in short time.

It has now been almost 11 months since we reported this problem. As we have just received notification that it is time to purchase our subscription renewal, I would like to get an update on the status of this issue. To repeat some of the hsitory: we need to have the resolution in ASPOSE.PDF because we require the 'core' fonts it supports. Until ASPOSE.WORDS supports those 'core' fonts, we cannot use it to generate a PDF.

Can you tell me when you plan to resolve this problem? Thanks.
