Apose.Cells for .NET and Reporting Services

I want to make sure the product does what I need.  I have a highly customized reporting services implementation.  I have a report that looks good on the screen, but the client wants it formatted differently for Excel.  When I create the Excel template in the designer, is that added to the current RDL file or is it a separate file that is stored in the system?  Since I programmatically render reports, do I render the RDL file and then ask it to render to Excel using the Apose.Cells as the rendering engine?  I did not see an example on the site how to control the rendering programmatically.

In the end, I need a normal excel file that any user can open on their machine.  There should not be a need to have the Apose client plug-in.  Is this what the product does?

Please try Aspose.Cells.Renderer for Reporting Services.  If it does not meet your requirement, please post your RDL file here. We will check it soon.

Also, please use the Aspose.Cells.Report.Designer to re-design your report. Aspose.Cells.Report.Designer can open your current RDL file, but only gets dataset and data sources of the current RDL file. Report format must be re-designed, save as new RDL file and publish it to SSRS server.

Please reference to documentation about Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.

Yes, the exported excel file will not require any Aspose client plugin-in.

    Thank You & Best Regards,
