    Hi,

Please try the attached assembly file for reporting service 2005.

If you have installed the product successfully, you can only copy this file to the path of ReportServer and override the old file, such as "D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices.dll.".

If there is something wrong with it, please get some reference from the link "http://www.aspose.com/documentation/ssrs-rendering-extensions/aspose.pdf-for-reporting-services/install-aspose-pdf-for-reporting-services.html".

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

    hi,

Did you use Aspose.Pdf for RS in ReportServer?

If it is, could you please describe the detail of installation and the rendering in your brownser, and it would be great help that you provide the report file(rdl) for us.

We are investigating it, and we will inform you ASAP if it is resolved.

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

    Hi,

Did you meet the same error when rendering the other report files(rdl)?

You can install aspose.pdf for RS on diffrent report servers, and check out whether the same error always displays.

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

It occurred with any rdl that I tried.  It is the base install with the new dll that you provided in this thread.  I coppied the dll to the appopriate folders and even used the registration tool and still got the same error.  I did get one error that was intermitant before this happened.  The reports would render fine on the server but on any other box they wouldn't.  It worked for about 5 reports and then i got the 2nd error.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can provide you or if you want to do a webex as we are want to test the product and put it in production if it works nearly as well as the cells ssrs extenstion that we are currently using.

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

    Hi,

This problem is quite strange. If you can help us to reproduce this error it will be great help. Can you please provide example (you'd better use the AdventureWorks database) and tell us if there is special setting on your server?

I uninstalled, downloaded a new installer and ran it.  I got the same Partially Trusted callers error.  I downloaded the hotfix dll in the thread and dropped it in the ReportServer\Bin dir and the install dir of the pdf C:\Program Files\Aspose\Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services\Bin\SSRS2005.  Some of the reports are now working but now I get a different error on some of my reports.  I've attached one for you:

    Hi,

We have reproduced the error with the help of your report case.

We have fixed it, please try the attached assembly file.

Currently, AP4RS does not support the backgroud image rendering of textbox, so the rendered PDF file could not display the text with background image in the report header. We will support it in the later version.

    Sorry for the inconvenience!

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

Thank you for the hotfix, it worked.  I have some more information about the:

Showing a modal dialog box or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode is not a valid operation. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application.

error. I have been able to recreate it.  It appears to be a permission error.  I am getting some more information from our network people about the different accounts but I believe there is something on your end still as the aspose.cells works perfectly with all of our user accounts.  If you can research on your end and let me know as we have over 60,000 accounts and our site uses windows auth so it would be a big deal to figure out the minimal permisions and apply them across the board.

I have done some more research into the issue.  You trying to display a Window.Forms MessageBox,  this is what is causing the error.  I believe that this is a trap for another error that is occuring but we can't see the true error because of the mix of forms and web code.  Attached is the logs from my SSRS server where you can see some more detail into the exception.

As I stated earlier, I think this is a permission issue as I can get the reports to export with my admin account.  Are you using a "Temp" dir to create the pdf?  If so, what is it as I've turned on Fail auditing for the RSTempFiles and Temporary ASP.NET Files directories and didn't catch any errors.

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

Thank you please let me know what you find and i if can get you anything else.  But while you are looking at that i have a question about performance.  Our smaller reports run great but we have some larger 500+ pg reports that are timing out when we export.  The only reason I bring this up is that the ASPOSE.CELLs only takes 30 seconds to export the larger reports.  I didn't know if this is any error or just simply a limitation with PDF.

Re: SSRS Export to PDF Error

     Hi,

    Sorry for the inconvenience!

Please set report parameter 'SavingXmlFormat' as 'Debug Information'.

After setting, the renderer will generate an XML-format file, and post it in this thread.

If the rendering of XML file still takes much time or is timing out, please tell us.
