Aspose.Words for SharePoint 2.0.0

The major improvement in this release is the support of reporting functionality available in Aspose.Words for .NET v9.4.

Now you can generate reports based on a Microsoft Word template document and an external data source right in your SharePoint document library without the need to write even a line of code. Any of the formats supported for document conversion can be chosen as destination format for report.

Report template supports
- Regions to repeat for each record in a data source table.
- Nested regions for parent-child relationships in the report data.
- Image placeholders to insert images from a data source.
You can access data from
- Relational databases via SQL queries and Microsoft SQL or OLE DB providers.
- SharePoint lists via CAML queries.
- XML data files located in a SharePoint document library.
In a report definition file the following report properties are specified:
- Data source connection properties.
- Queries to retrieve the data.
- Relationships between data tables returned by different queries.
- Report parameters.
You can specify multiple data source connections and queries. You can combine data returned by the different queries using data relationships in the report definition file.
You can store data source connection description in a separate file and use it with multiple reports.

This download contains compiled HTML Help file with Aspose.Words for SharePoint documentation and API Reference and simple demo application.

This demo is an event handler for the list ItemAdded event.
The event handler tries to convert each added file to the PDF format using Aspose.Words for SharePoint.
If the added file is supported by Aspose.Words for SharePoint, a PDF version of it is placed in the same folder with the original file.

Please welcome our new product Aspose.Words for SharePoint!

Aspose.Words for SharePoint makes it possible to convert documents within Microsoft SharePoint applications. Microsoft Word is not required on the server. The following document formats and conversions are supported:

To install Aspose.Words for SharePoint you need a server running one of the following:

Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Installing Service Pack 2 or later updates for these products is recommended.
There are no additional system requirements besides ones, which exist for the products above.

To install Aspose.Words for SharePoint:

Unpack Aspose.Words.SharePoint zip to the local drive on the MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0 server.
Run setup.exe and follow the instructions on the screen. After installation Aspose.Words for SharePoint will work in evaluation mode. It will produce documents of limited size and with a watermark.
