Introduction:

That is a maintenance release and contains fixes for the issues reported in earlier versions.

We are glad to announce new Aspose.Metafiles for Java 1.5.0.

This is maintenance release which includes all fixes provided in the 1.4.* versions of Aspose.Metafiles. This release also contains workaround for the incorrect processing of font glyphs in JRE 1.5 where GlyphVector.getGlyphCharIndices() returns char indexes in a wrong order.

We have released Aspose.Metafiles for Java 1.3.0.0

What's New:

Metafile.getTextStrings() method. Returns all text strings from a metafile.
TextOutOperation class which represents text string in a metafile with simple rendering rules like transformation matrix, position, color and font.
Metafile.getTextOutOperations() method. Returns array of TextOutOperation objects.
(get|set)MinPixelCount and (get|set)MaxPixelCount values which define minimal and maximal limits for image size (x*y) generated by createDefaultRendering() method. IMage will be scaled in case it exceeds limits.

What's New:

EmfMetafile and WmfMetafile classes inherited from abstract class Metafile now.
Static Metafile.LoadMetafile method determines type of metafile, load it and return approrpiate EmfMetafile or WmfMetafile object.

Fixed:

3677 - Loading metafiles from zip and other "non-standard" streams didn't work.
4080, 4150 - Different problems with rendering text (for example wrong size, position, etc.).

What's New:

Reading comments from a metafile. Small example how to read comments:

    Charset.defaultCharset().decode(ByteBuffer.wrap(comments[i].getCommentData())).toString());

Rendering text in different charsets. Aspose.Metafiles should select right charset automatically but it is possible to override it through rendering hints.

cc.SetCharset(MetafileCharsetCollection.DEFAULT_CHARSET, charset);

3862 - Aspose.Metafiles didn't work with Aspose.Total for Java license.
