What's new:

What's fixed:

There has been a bunch of fixes and improvements that were applied during a discussion with one of our users. We applied them right away so they were not registered in our defect database.

This is a maintenance release containing a number of fixes and improvements accumulated while working with product's evaluators for last two or three weeks.

What's new:

The way tables are constructed was changed. Now the exporter uses cell paddings instead of paragraph indent/spacing.
Page margins are now deducted based on page contents.

What's fixed:

Multiple fixed and enhancements applied instantly based on product evaluators' reports.

We are happy to announce a new release of Aspose.Words for JasperReports that contains a great deal of fixes and enhancements. The most noticeable improvement is the full support of Microsoft Word page headers and footers, which means the documents being generated get much more natural and easy to edit!

What's new:

The documents being produced now include page headers and footers corresponding to report's design.
Report locale is supported.
Based on the latest Aspose.Words for Java 3.1.0.
Product's documentation is updated.

What's fixed:

JasperServer configuration does not work.
Some of table borders are missing.
Text is enclosed into unneeded tables while can be placed immediately in the body.
Some reports designed in iReport throw an exception due to the font properties being null.
Empty images throw a NullReferenceExceprion.
Background elements make the layout totally corrupted.

Please welcome our brand new product, Aspose.Words for JasperReports 1.0.0! Aspose.Words for JasperReports is the unique solution on the market that makes possible exporting reports from JasperReports and JasperServer to Microsoft Word documents and more. The export formats currently include:

DOC - Microsoft Word documents
DOCX - Office Open XML (OOXML) documents
HTML - Web pages
TXT - Plain text

The first release of the product supports the following features:

Easy and Lightweight Deployment - Aspose.Words for JasperReports is written purely in Java and is provided as a single JAR file that can easily be deployed on the machines running JasperReports or JasperServer.
High Fidelity to Report Design - Aspose.Words for JasperReports exports reports as Microsoft Word documents in such a way that they look identical to reports exported by the built-in exporters of JasperReports.
Editable Documents - Aspose.Words for JasperReports exports flow layout documents. This means they consist of “normal” paragraphs, tables and images that are easy to further edit in Microsoft Word, if necessary.
