This release introduces an amazing feature never offered before. Now the installation package includes two assemblies that allow you to add Microsoft Word formats to the Microsoft Report Viewer control working in local mode! Just add a reference to an appropriate assembly (depending on the version of the control - 2005 or 2008) and implement a short method as described in the documentation - and you will notice additional export format appeared on the dropdown list.

As usual, all issues reported by the users since the previous official release have been fixed almost instantly. We have also improved the export of RDL reports to flow layout documents.

What's new

  • Included assemblies allowing to add Microsoft Word export formats to the Microsoft Report Viewer control working in local mode
  • Added the Web Archive (MHTML) export format
  • The MSI installers automatically installs the rendering extension to all Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services instances found on the machine
  • Product documentation reworked and updated

What's fixed

  • NullReferenceException thrown for some reports
  • Order of matrix columns is reversed in some rare cases
  • Extra space appear in some documents with tables spread over multiple pages
