Use Expression Box control or restrict users from inserting a new row in the Repeating Table control

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.7.0 has been released. This release includes support for Expression Box control (InfoPath 2003 and 2007 only). This feature allows you to display read-only text, display the value of another control on the form, and create formulas that are based on XPath expressions.

A new feature to disable the context menu of a repeating table has also been included in this release. This feature enables you to restrict the users of your application from inserting a new row in the repeating table.

PDF export feature has also been enhanced in this release and relative size for layout elements is supported now. You can place your controls inside a layout table and specify the size values in percent (%).

Load InfoPath 2010 forms and the XSN templates which are based on a data source in your .NET Web Applications

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.6.0 has been released. This release supports InfoPath 2010. Now you can place at least 20 most used InfoPath controls on your InfoPath 2010 forms and load these forms in your .NET Web Applications.

In previous releases, users were unable to load those InfoPath form templates which were based on a data source. This release supports the form templates which are based on a data source and you can load such form templates in your .NET Web Applications. This release also includes some important bug fixes.

Export InfoPath forms to PDF with improved PDF rendering feature

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.5.0 has been released. This release supports XSN to PDF conversion and you can export your InfoPath forms to PDF. PDF rendering feature was also included in the previous release but this feature has been improved in this release.

Export InfoPath (XSN) forms to PDF

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.4.0 has been released. This release supports XSN to PDF conversion and you can export your InfoPath forms to PDF. At least, 10 most used InfoPath controls and several PDF related features are supported in this release.

The controls in the generated PDF will not look same as the original HTML controls because this is the beta release with PDF conversion feature and has some restrictions. More controls and more PDF related features will be supported in the future releases.

Change web service parameters dynamically or pass generic types to web methods

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.3.0 has been released. This release supports generic types as web service parameters and provides the ability to change the web service arguments dynamically.

Support for web services was already present but generic types as parameters were not supported. Now web methods can work with generic types as parameters.

There is another RuleSet enhancement which enables you to change web service arguments dynamically. You can assign query fields for web service requests. This release also includes some important fixes from previous versions.

File Attachment control and Rule Set Actions are supported now for InfoPath forms

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.2.0 has been released. This release includes support for Rule Set Actions and File Attachment control.

Support for Rule Set Actions feature was among the most demanded features and it provides great ease to perform certain actions when certain events fire. Aspose.Form for .NET not only supports certain Rule Set Actions but it also exposes Pre and Post event handlers for these actions which enables users to execute some code before or after these actions.

Users can display message boxes, change the value of the control, switch between different views of a multi view form and execute Query Action.

File Attachment control is also supported in this release and FileAttached event is also provided to execute some code after the file is attached.

The Aspose.Form for .NET 2.2.0 installer includes a separate build for Mono and this release also includes some important fixes from previous versions.

Customize resources and get a control by InfoPath ID

Aspose.Form for .NET v2.1.0 has been released. This release supports customization of text information displayed in the controls’ interface. This feature enables users to change the text information displayed in the “Context Menu” of a repeating table or section and the text displayed in the calendar and other controls.

The other feature Aspose.Form for .NET v2.1.0 provides is an API to get a control by InfoPath ID. Users will be able to execute some server side code because of this feature.

The Aspose.Form for .NET v2.1.0 installer includes a separate build for .NET 3.5 and this release also includes some important fixes from previous versions.

Aspose.Form for .NET 2.0.0 supports Choice Group control and binding to xml file.

Aspose.Form for .NET v2.0.0 has been released. This release supports “Choice Group” control and binding to xml file.

By providing support for xml data binding, Aspose.Form has achieved the target of supporting all the data sources that are supported by Microsoft’s Infopath2007.

“Choice group” control has also been added in the list of many other controls that are supported by Aspose.Form.

Aspose.Form for .NET v1.9.1 has been released with the exciting new data binding features

Aspose.Form for .NET v1.9.1 has been released. This release includes exciting new data binding features.

In past, users were having problems while loading an InfoPath form that had its data source set to a database server table or SharePoint list or a Web Service in XmlFormView control and demanding the new features to populate the data dynamically into the drop down lists.

Now these new features have been included in the new release of Aspose.Form and users can bind their InfoPath forms to the data sources like Database Server Tables, SharePoint Lists and Web Services.

Note: Because the data sources require authentication so, users need to add identity tag in the web.config file like below example.

Aspose.Form for .NET v1.8.0 Released

We have released Aspose.Form v1.8.0!

It contains most recent bug fixes and new features.

Support for multiple views

If your InfoPath document has multiple views, you may now use ActiveView property to specify the name of the active view (and the active view will be rendered on screen).

Support for accessing XSD schema

Just use XsdSchema property of XmlFormView control and you'll be able to get current XSD schema information.

NOTE

Please note that this release is .NET 2.0 release (it does NOT support .NET 1.1). If you need Aspose.Form for .NET 1.1, please use an older version out or wait for an updated release with .NET 1.1 support.

Aspose.Form v1.6.0.0 Enhanced Image Features

Aspose.Form v1.6.0.0 supports Ink Picture, Inline Image and Linked Image controls in Infopath 2007 files. Now you can display images with these controls in the infopath template.

As long as image features, several functions are exposed for XmlFormView control to support more features, like Reset the form data.

Aspose.Form for .NET v1.3.0.0 Released

We have releaed Aspose.Form for .NET v1.3.0.0.

In this release, we improved the UI for repeating elements for example repeating section, repeating table, and repeating row. A contextual menu is added to these element to provide insert/remove functions.

Moreover, we also rewrited the rendering engine to support Master Page in ASP.NET and User Control.

In order to upgrad to the v1.3.0.0, you need to follow the steps:

1. Use Aspose.Form.Web.UI.WebControls.XmlFormViewer to replace the FormControl

2. add httpmodule to your web config as following
