Performance Configuration is ON By Default in Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services 1.5.1

We have released the Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services v1.5.1 for the users.

In this version, we have enhanced rendering of Editable Charts for SQL Server Reporting Services 2008. We have set the Performance configuration as the default configuration, so the performance would be improved while rendering large reports. There are some other enhancements too.

Convert Charts to Image Files and Utilize other Enhancements with Aspose.Cells for Java v2.1.2

We have released Aspose.Cells for Java v2.1.2 for the users.

In this version, we have introduced Chart-to-Image feature for our users’ demand and included several other enhancements. We have provided some valuable features. For example, the pictures in Header/Footer for Excel 2007 format would be retained when you export or copy spreadsheets. You can set the position of a picture to the center of a given range of cells. We have added support to calculate FREQUENCY formula. The component now supports to import Rich Text in SpreadsheetML file. You can also add calculated filed in pivot tables.

Moreover, we have improved the Style’s model for performance considerations. We have also boosted the LightCells API. We have optimized reading large Excel 2007 files operation. There are some bug fixes and other enhancements too.

Read / Write Excel 2007 Tables and Set IDataReader as Data Source for Smart Markers with Aspose.Cells for .NET 4.8.2

We released Aspose.Cells for .NET v4.8.2!

In this version, we have made enhancements for some features. Now you can read / write MS Excel 2007 Tables (List Objects). Moreover, when you copy a worksheet / workbook, the Tables (List Objects) would also be copied with it. For Smart Markers, we have supported to set IDataReader as a data source for the markers. You can export richly formatted text in the cells to html string value for your need. The formula calculation engine is further enhanced. You can update data from external referenced links now.

In the web grid of Aspose.Cells for .NET, we have supported some new formulas to the list. For example, the functions like ADDRESS, ROW, ROWS, COLUMN, COLUMNS, OFFSET and INDIRECT are supported now. We have also added some useful client-side events for the control.

There are some other fixes and enhancements too.

We have released the Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services v1.5.0 for the users.

In this version, we have supported rendering Editable Charts for SQL Server Reporting Services 2008. We have added HTML as a new rendering extension. Moreover, we have enhanced the installation process with modified interface. There are some other fixes and enhancements too.

Aspose.Cells for Java 2.1.1 provides valuable enhancements for HTML and Excel 2007 formats

We have released Aspose.Cells for Java v2.1.1 for the users.

In the new version, there are some new enhancements regarding HTML format; the component imports spreadsheets in HTML format: it exports images to customized destination; it handles images when saving HTML file; it improves performance by cutting off string values that cross multiple cells.

The component can read Document Properties in Excel 2007 formats. It imports/exports array formulas for Excel 2007 files. You can apply style to a cell using your desired attributes using StyleFlag object. You can update certain controls’ attributes at runtime. The rows would be shifted accordingly when inserting/deleting range of cells.

The performance is optimized for certain objects and operations. For example, the performance of reading/writing large Excel files is enhanced. The performance of autoFitRows/Columns operation is also optimized. Moreover, we have improved the internal model for different chart objects and markers.

There are some other fixes and enhancements too.

We have just released Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services v1.4.3 for the users.

In this version, the Rendering Performance is increased. The Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices Client tool, now, supports Reporting Services 2008 report format. The component includes report items style in the report that is created by the report designer. Moreover, the Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices Client is enhanced regarding the Reporting Server’s connectivity. There are some other fixes and enhancements too.

Aspose.Cells for .NET 4.8.1 supports External References and Themes for Excel 2007 formats

We have just released Aspose.Cells for .NET 4.8.1 hot fix.

Aspose.Cells for .NET provides some new enhancements for MS Excel 2007 file formats. For example, it now supports External workbook references of Excel 2007 xlsx files. It also supports Excel 2007 Themes and Colors that you may directly apply with ease. The formula calculation engine is optimized further; it also supports some new formulas. You can also set a picture as a background fill format for the chart.

There are some new enhancements for Aspose.Cells Grid controls too. The memory usage for different objects is optimized. There are a few valuable features in this regard: import/export xlsx files, apply styles to a range of cells, add Find/Replace feature for the desktop grid and auto-fit rows/columns using APIs etc.

Gradient Fill Effects in Charts are supported in Aspose.Cells for JaspserReports 1.0.1

We have just released Aspose.Cells for JasperReports 1.0.1. The new version includes a number of valuable features regarding charts. For example, the Gradient Fill Effects for the areas are supported now including chart’s background (chart area, plot area etc.), legend’s background, bars and bubbles etc. The Axis labels (of Charts) in date format would be rendered correctly and accordingly. Moreover, the font sizes are adjusted appropriately to paste characters in Microsoft Excel format.

Performance is Optimized notably in Aspose.Cells for .NET 4.8.0.0

We are pleased to release Aspose.Cells for .NET 4.8.0.0 for the users.

In the new version, we have optimized / enhanced the performance for Formula recalculations with support of some new MS Excel built-in functions, inserting/deleting Rows/Columns and Auto-fitting Rows/Columns feature. Now, you can add WordArt shapes to your spreadsheets and read Gradient fill effects in the chart. Moreover, for Worksheet-to-Image feature, the support for multiple Print Areas is available now. We have also provided support for setting Image Options in Chart-to-Image and Worksheet-to-Image features. This release includes over 100 fixes and other enhancements too.

Just for your knowledge, we have now merged Aspose.Grid suite with Aspose.Cells for .NET MSI installer. You can install it and add reference only to Aspose.Cells.dll library (from your installed folder) in your project for your need. You may also take advantage using Aspose.Cells Grid controls though if you want to manipulate excel files in the grid in WYSIWYG manner.

Aspose.Cells for Java v2.1.0 Released

We have released Aspose.Cells for Java v2.1.0 for the users.

In this version, we have enhanced ODS (Open Document Spreadsheet) support and introduced several new features including Hyperlink, Page Setup options, Group outline, Conditional formatting, Data validation, AutoFilter, Page Break, PrintTitleRows/Columns, Shapes and Chart. We have also provided some features regarding MS Excel 2007 file format(s), e.g Inserting Pictures, Adding Charts. The users can now update controls (CheckBox, ComboBox, ListBox, RadioButton, ScrollBar, Spinner) via the linked cells, and vice versa.

We have provided some more features. For example, the users can now access Shape’s properties: Name, ZOrderPosition. The Subtotals feature is now supported for some users' demand. We have added support to calculate Hyperlink function/formula. The users can delete user defined Names in the worksheets. Good news for the users who are using XLS2PDF feature as we now support hyperlinks for the conversion. Moreover, the users can extract Ole Objects in the template excel file for their need. There are some bug fixes and other enhancements too.

How Do I: Convert Excel File to PDF

We have created a video tutorial for the users. The video exhibits how to convert an excel file to PDF format using Aspose.Cells APIs. In this video, we create a simple Windows application to demonstrate the task. We load / open an excel file, and then convert it to PDF format. The generated PDF file can be opened into Adobe Reader.
