 Having Aspose.Words for SharePoint installed on your server you can convert documents right from within your SharePoint document library to and from many popular office document formats.
Currently Aspose.Words for SharePoint supports the following input formats: - DOCX – Office Open XML

To generate documents, Aspose.Words for SharePoint relies on a built-in version of Aspose.Words for .NET, the market leading document-processing component from Aspose. DOC, OOXML, RTF and WordprocessingML copies of the same document will look identical to the original thanks to the high level of support for the underlying file formats, provided by the core Aspose.Words engine.
Microsoft Word is not used to generate documents. The full list of output formats supported by Aspose.Words for SharePoint is below:

Workflow support 
You can use Aspose.Words for SharePoint in SharePoint workflows. After installation, a new workflow action named “Convert via Aspose.Words” will be available in SharePoint Designer. There you can use all the supported formats, setup the process with multiple options and use action output in subsequent actions to create workflows of any complexity.
File concatenation 
Any combination of input files in supported formats can be converted into single output document. You can take files from subfolders in the document library, choose the desired files, adjust concatenation sequence via simple UI and get a resulting combined file through a minimal number of clicks.
Public API  If you develop your own internal SharePoint solutions you can use our
conversion engine via our public API. This gives you programmatic access
to all supported file formats and conversion options.

Easy Installation  Aspose.Words for SharePoint is downloadable as a ZIP archive. To install Aspose.Words for SharePoint:
- Unpack the ZIP file to the local drive on your SharePoint server.
- Run setup.exe and follow the instructions on the screen.
Once you are happy with your evaluation, you can purchase a license. Before purchasing make sure you understand and agree to the license subscription terms.
Your license will be emailed to you after the order has been paid. The license is a .zip archive containing a regular SharePoint solution package.
