How to Check Version Number

You have 3 ways to get the version number.

  1. In Visual Studio .Net, click Reference in your project, slelect the assembly you're using, for example, Aspose.Pdf, you can find the version number in the Properties window at the left, right corner. This is the most recommended way to check the version number you're using. If our technical support asks you the version number you're using, please use this method.
  2. If you're using Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP, just select the assembly file, for example, Aspose.Pdf.dll, at the status bar at the bottom in your Windows Explorer, you can see it's version number.
  3. If you're using Windows 2000, right click the aseembly file , for example, Aspose.Pdf.dll, you can see it's version number at the Version tab.

How to Install Hot Fix

To address feature requests or bug reports after a new release of a product, we publish a hot fix for the new release, a zip file of the dll.

To use the hot fix, unzip it, then have your project reference it in your Visual Studio .Net. That's it.

By the way, you don't need to run RegSvr32 to register the hot fix as all Aspose products are 100% .Net component, strictly compliant with .Net XCopy deployment strategy.

What is the Difference Between Technical Support & Aspose.Service?

Aspose offers two kinds of services:

  1. Technical Support, which is a free service and is in your reach, once you buy some product. It is provided by a specific Product Development Team that has produced that specific product (or component). In technical support, you can get free Hot Fixes, Software Updates or Request for some custom features in the product etc. for one year (that is the subscription time period of any product). Once your subscription is expired, it doesn't mean that you can't post your questions to Product Development Teams. You can post your questions because you remain our valuable customers but you would not be able to get free updates after subscription expiration. After subscription expiration, you can renew your subscription at discount to avail this service.
  2. Aspose.Service Support that is not free but not that expensive too. Aspose.Service Team offers different kinds of services for all Aspose products, which include Tutoring, Training, Customizing & Consulting services. Please, click here to know about the duration, pricing and further details of these services.

Note: You can contact Technical Support or Aspose.Service Support through Instant Messengers, Forums or emails. The most preferred way is to use forums.
