Overview

The Ad Hoc Query Builder component is an ASP.NET component that can be used for a wide variety of tasks, ranging from Ad Hoc reports to quick and easy search screens. Developers can simply drag and drop the Ad Hoc component on to their web forms, assign a DataTable object as the data source and let the component do the rest. The Ad Hoc component uses a DataTable object as its data source allowing developers to use virtually any back end database. The Ad Hoc component offers a variety of outputs, including: SQL statement, Select statement, Where statement, Order By statement, Filtered Data Objects and many more.

Assortment of Output
Aspose.AdHoc gives you the option of choosing from a rich assortment of output options which include but are not limited to SQL statement, Select statement, Where statement, Order By statement, RowFilter statement, Filtered DataView, Filtered DataTable or Filtered DataSet etc. In addition to this you can also output to web pages as well as to documents such as Word, Excel and PDF etc.

Rich User Interface
Aspose.AdHoc comes bundled with a very rich user interface, which allows you to set alias to fields, set fields to be visible/invisible, display human-readable query statement and supports custom CSS style. Aspose.AdHoc also gives you the ability to show SQL statement window, OrderBy statement window, Select statement window and Where statement window.

Building Queries
Aspose.AdHoc control can easily be dragged and dropped on to a web form. The DataTable can be bound to any datasourse. Aspose.AdHoc supports multiple tables as well as advanced condition input. Parsing of SQL statement, Select statement, Where statement and OrderBy statement is also supported by Aspose.AdHoc.
