In this new release, a lot of important features about Section, Text, Table and Image have been improved to enable customer to use them more conveniently and effectively. HeaderFooter class has been rewritten to give customer more control as well as keep conformance with .net. Some bugs have been fixed to provide customer more practical function.

Aspose.Pdf for .NET 3.9.0.0 Released

In this release, PDF/A-1a is supported and now the PDF/A-1 is fully supported (Beta version). In addition, Widows/Orphans control is supported. Users can disallow/allow Widows/Orphans easily by turning on/off Widows/Orphans control. The macro #$UNICODE() is supported which can be used in both Heading and Text. Direct-to-stream mode is also supported. It is known that each font has a set of supported characters. Sometimes, users may assign a font to a Segment paragraph which doesn't support every character appear in the Segment. In this release, it is possible to adjust fonts automatically. It will select a proper font to the Segment paragraph according to its contents. Besides, some important features are enhanced and some bugs are fixed.

Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services V1.4.0.0 Released

In this release, some new features of inline HTML and bookmarks are supported. The algorithm of positioning has been optimized and the rendering speed has been improved. Also, some bugs have been fixed, such as the incorrect display, rendering exception and so on.

Aspose.Pdf for .NET 3.8.0.0 Released

In this release, the feature 'PDF/A-1b' (Beta version) is supported. The PDF/A formats specified in the ISO 19005 standard strive to provide a consistent and robust subset of PDF which can safely be archived over a long period of time, or used for reliable data exchange in enterprise and government environments. PDF/A-1b (formally ISO 19005-1 Level B) ensures that the visual appearance of a document is preservable over the long term.

In addition, hyphenation according to customize hyphenation dictionary is supported. It allows users define hyphenate rules in a customize dictionary. Besides, some bugs are fixed. We have also optimized the performance in some specific cases.

A possible performance failure may be caused by a network path failure

A customer reported that it took more than 10 minutes when he used Aspose.Pdf to convert an XSL-FO file to PDF document. Customer thought that it's a performance issue with Aspose.Pdf.Save() method but when we digged more into this issue, we found that it's not any performance issue with Aspose.Pdf. Infact, his .xslt file was trying to access a network resource that was unavailable to that server. It was an interesting case so, i think, it's better to share it with everyone that a possible performance failure may also be caused by a network path failure.

Another issue that may cause performance failure is XSLT in .NET 1.1. Sometimes, it takes longer to convert XML with XSLT. That is a bug of .NET 1.1. If you try the same code with .NET 2.0 it works well.

Aspose.Pdf for .NET 3.7.0.0 Released

We have not published new release of this product for half a year. During this time, we pay our main attention on improving the quality of the product. In this new release, the quality is greatly improved and many bugs are fixed.

Some New features are added in this release. Bookmark at specific points is supported. Custom action for bookmark and link is supported. In XSL-FO2PDF, EMF and WMF image is supported. Security setting is also supported in XSL-FO2PDF.

Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services V1.3.0.0 Released!

In this release, some new features such as custom embedded font, line arrows, footnote, endnote and so on are supported. A Configuration tool is provided which can be used to install the Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services without MSI installer. 64-bit windows is now supported well.

Aspose.Pdf for Java 2.3.0.0 Released

In this release, XML meta data is supported when creating PDF.Metadata is any data that helps to describe the content or characteristics of a file.By providing a standard, W3C-compliant way of tagging files with metadata across products from Adobe and other vendors, XMP is a powerful solution enabler.
